Paul Newman will be missed a lot...

I know this comes late, but I've been busy these days, Nevertheless I am sad to hear about Paul Newman's death last Saturday.

Paul Newman, famous for his roles in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Cool Hand Luke as well as a massive portfolio of other projects including Cars and Road To Perdition, died at his long-time home in Westport, Connecticut, of cancer.

Newman is survived by the actress Joanne Woodward, his wife since 1958 and two daughters from his first marriage to Jackie Witte.

In addition to his film career, during which he earned 10 Oscar nominations (winning best actor for The Color of Money in 1986), he was a well-known race driver and race team owner and the founder of Newman's Own, a company which Newman launched single-handedly that became a mulit-million dollar a year food company and major benefactor to charities around the world, donating over $250 million.

Paul Newman will be missed by all. He was a true legend, who's skill, work ethic, attitude and outlook are rare, indeed.

I am so sad that my post include Hollywood Death, but that is life, sometimes you're happy, sometimes you're sad.

Fox and Warner Bros fight over Watchmen

New York Times claims that the legal battles going on between Fox and Warner Bros. over the release of Watchmen are getting extremely sticky.

Fox has said it will seek an injunction blocking Warner's planned release of the film next March. Warner has argued that Fox should not be allowed to stop the movie, after standing by while Warner and its partners on the film, Paramount Pictures and Legendary Pictures, spent more than $100 million on the production, directed by Zack Snyder (300).

In a summary of its position in Friday's report, Warner said Fox "sat silently" as one of the producers of Watchmen, Lawrence Gordon, took the project "to studio after studio with Fox's express knowledge."

Fox, which filed a lawsuit in February, has claimed in its own filings that Mr. Gordon did not keep the studio apprised of his plans, as required by a 1994 agreement. That deal granted Mr. Gordon rights to Watchmen in "turnaround" - an industry term for arrangements under which producers can move a project from one studio to another under certain conditions.

In Warner's version of events, Mr. Gordon, who is not named as a defendant in the Fox suit, actually offered the project to Fox in 2005, shortly before bringing it to Warner after years of trying to make the movie with Paramount. "Fox simply rejected it," Warner said in the Friday filing.

As of now, Watchmen is still scheduled to be released on March 6th, 2009.

Spielberg will still direct Tintin

UPDATE: The True Hollywood Reporter ran a story earlier today about Peter Jackson taking over directorial duties on the first installment of Tintin, a film that was to supposed to be helmed by Steven Spielberg. That information has now been proven false. In a follow-up story, Spielberg has corrected the news, which originally came from Brussels' Herge Studios, home to Tintin. He says that he remains committed to directing this first film in a proposed trilogy. It will be his first directorial gig since jumping behind the lens on this summer's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Both Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg denied that there were any changes to their original plan of attack. Jackson still plans on directing the second film, and will serve as a producer on the first.

Here is the original story:

Steven Spielberg was all set to direct the first big screen installment of the iconic comic strip character Tintin. But now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Jackson will helm the theatrical debut of this highly anticipated trilogy instead.

While Peter Jackson was supposed to direct the second film, it is not known whether he will continue down that path, or if another unnamed director will step in to continue the trilogy. This first Tintin episode is based on two of the original books entitled The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham's Treasure. The script is by Stephen Moffat, best known for his work on Doctor Who.

The film will be animated using new motion-capture technology. Thomas Sangster is set to play Tintin, while Andy Serkis is taking on the role of his best friend Captain Haddock. The film was originally set to be released in 2009, but we may not see it until 2010.

Shia LaBeouf's Hand Injury Written Into Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

A few short week's ago, Transformers star Shia LaBeouf was involved in a car accident that saw his SUV being flipped into the middle of an intersection. The incident caused sever damage to his left hand and left the star unable to continue filming his highly anticipated summer sequel Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Now, according to Just Jared at Buzznet.com the actor is back at work on the set, and they have written his hand injury into the script.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen seems to be staying on schedule, which means that, despite Shia's latest real life injury, we will still be getting the film on June 26th, 2009.

Forget Superman Returns

It was reported a few days ago that Warner Bros. was thinking of doing a complete overhaul on Superman: The Man of Steel, completely redoing the franchise. Today, the Wall Street Journal has confirmed from Warner Bros. Pictures Group president Jeff Robinov that this is exactly the path they are taking, which could be in the vein of The Incredible Hulk that essentially ignored Ang Lee's 2003 film Hulk. Here's an excerpt from the article.

Warner Bros. also put on hold plans for another movie starring multiple superheroes -- known as "Batman vs. Superman" -- after the $215 million Superman Returns, which had disappointing box-office returns, didn't please executives. "'Superman' didn't quite work as a film in the way that we wanted it to," says Mr. Robinov. "It didn't position the character the way he needed to be positioned." "Had 'Superman' worked in 2006, we would have had a movie for Christmas of this year or 2009," he adds. "But now the plan is just to reintroduce Superman without regard to a Batman and Superman movie at all."

The article went on to say that Warner will be announcing its plans for future DC Comics movies next month and Robinov said that, "we're developing every DC character that we own."

The studio is set to announce its plans for future DC movies in the next month. For now, though, it is focused on releasing four comic-book films in the next three years, including a third Batman film, a new film reintroducing Superman, and two movies focusing on other DC Comics characters. Movies featuring Green Lantern, Flash, Green Arrow, and Wonder Woman are all in active development.

Given the success of The Dark Knight, Robinov also said he wants this new slate of films to be darker in tone and also said he expects at least two DC tentpole releases by 2011.

"We're going to try to go dark to the extent that the characters allow it," Robinov said, while adding that this would apply to Superman: The Man of Steel as well.

I'll be sure to keep you updated on Warner's upcoming DC Comics slate as well as any and all updates regarding Superman: The Man of Steel.

Tom Cruise wants Sleeper

Tom Cruise is in talks to star in Sleeper, Sam Raimi's adaptation of the DC Comics/Wildstorm comic at Warner Bros. Raimi will produce with his Star Road Entertainment partner Josh Donen, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Written by Ed Brubaker with art by Sean Phillips, Sleeper, which ran from 2003-05, centers on an operative whose fusion with an alien artifact makes him impervious to pain and allows him to pass it on to others through skin contact. He is placed undercover in a villainous organization by an intelligence agency and falls for a member of the group, named Miss Misery.

Sleeper is the third project that Cruise has become associated with over the past two weeks --all three separate from his commitments at UA. In addition to The Tourist, the actor has expressed interest in the Working Title-Universal comedy Food Fight.

No production date has been set.

Remembering Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes

This week, two great celebrity passed away.

First is Bernie Mac, this news surprised me, because I thought that he was healthy, seeing last in the movies Ocean Thirteen and Transformers, wherein he sells Bumblebee to Sam Witwicky.
His role as loud mouthed car salesman was remarkable and also being one of Ocean Eleven.

Truly a big loss for the entertainment industry, Bernie Mac was only 50 years old.

Another one is Academy Award winner Isaac Hayes, who won the Oscar in 1972 for best original song for the theme from Shaft, was found unresponsive at his house by family members.

After his career-defining soundtrack for the 1971 movie Shaft, for which Hayes picked up an Oscar, three Grammy awards, a Golden Globe award, and an Edison award, Europe's highest music honor, Hayes began acting in scores of movies and television series.

His guest star appearances included TV shows The Rockford Files and Miami Vice. He also appeared in feature films such as Escape from New York and "Hustle & Flow."

Musically, he returned to the pop charts in 1986 with a new record deal with Columbia and a new album, "U-Turn".

In 1997 he began voicing the role of Chef in the animated Comedy Central cable ' series South Park, but quit in 2006, apparently because of a conflict with Scientology, a religion he followed since the mid 1990s.

In 2002, Hayes was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and moved back home to Memphis, Tennessee, where he pursed business interests that flowered into two restaurants and a best-selling cookbook.

These two black person will surely be missed.

RIP Bernie and Isaac.

Lethal Weapon 5 Buzz

Maybe they're not too old for this s*&t after all... TrackingB.com, a script-tracking site, has reported that original Lethal Weapon screenwriter Shane Black has written a script for Lethal Weapon 5 and is shopping it to producer Joel Silver.

The tracking site noted that the franchise's stars Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are keen on returning to their roles as Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, but no contracts have been signed.

The story reportedly revolves around Riggs, who's ready to retire, but calls on his old partner, Murtaugh, to come out of retirement and solve one last case before retiring together.

Johnny Depp as the Riddler ?????????

With The Dark Knight bringing in over $400 million for Warner Brothers, it's no surprise that everyone is trying to figure out the casting of the sequel. The latest casting rumors, courtesy of WENN have Johnny Depp and Philip Seymour Hoffman being eyed for the roles of the Riddler and the Penguin, respectively.

The role of the Riddler has previously been tackled by Frank Gorshin in the television version of Batman, with Jim Carrey wearing the question-mark covered tights in Batman Forever. Meanwhile, the Penguin was handled on television by the incomparable Burgess Meredith, and a distinctively disgusting Penguin was played by Danny DeVito in Batman Returns.

A source told the Enquirer that "(Producers) are convinced that the role of the Riddler is perfect for Depp. Johnny's a pro. He'll be able to take direction from director Chris Nolan and still make the character his own. And what better Penguin is there than Philip Seymour Hoffman."

While it's hard to argue against either Depp as the Riddler or Hoffman as the Penguin, when one considers the original source, it's probably best to consider this one firmly in the 'rumor' category for now.

Leoanrdo Di Caprio on the Twilight Zone

Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio's production company Appian Way are in the early stages of requesting material for a feature version of one or more episodes from the classic TV series, The Twilight Zone.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio and production company are quietly putting out word to creators that they are looking for pitches and script ideas based on the show for feature development.

The companies are not seeking to remake an episodic movie, as the only big-screen version of the show did 25 years ago, but rather hope to build one continuing story line based on one or more episodes.

Warners owns rights to the Rod Serling-penned episodes, which comprise the bulk of its 1959-64 run. The Serling shows include famous episodes such as "To Serve Man," about giant aliens who land on Earth to serve humans as food, and Eye of the Beholder, about an inverted society where the attractive are considered ugly. About 155 episodes of the original series exist.

A feature adaptation could be a passion project of sorts for DiCaprio, who in interviews has cited The Twilight Zone as his favorite show.

No production date has been set.

BATMAN KICKS SPIDER MAN'S RECORD

Holy Cash Cow, Batman! Christmas came early for Warner Brothers this year, and it looks like it won't matter if they have another hit until at least 2012. Chris Nolan's sequel to Batman Begins has smashed every record in sight, hitting with a $155 million debut and taking that top spot on the weekend charts for what could be weeks to come. After just three days in release, The Dark Knight is already shaping up to be the biggest movie event of the year.

Opening in second place was the musical Mamma Mia!, which nabbed a nice little take of $27.6 million. That's no where near the behemoth earnings of The Dark Knight, but it is the biggest opening in history for a musical, besting last year's Hairspray by a little more than a million dollars.

This week's other new wide release was the CGI animated adventure Space Chimps. It floundered into seventh place with a weak take of $7.3 million. That measly sum wasn't even enough to beat WALL-E, which took the sixth place spot with $9.8 million after four weeks in release.

As for smaller films this week, Transsiberian took in $35,200 on just two screens, which adds up to a $17,600 per screen average. That puts it in second place behind The Dark Knight in per screen averages, "with Batman hauling away $35,579 for every single screen it played on. Lou Reed's Berlin didn't fair quite as well. It only managed to earn $7,650 on its two screens.

Next week will most likely see The Dark Knight back into that top position for a second week in a row. Opening against it will be The X-Files: I Want to Believe, the comedy Step Brothers, the documentary American Teen, and the Oscar worthy drama Brideshead Revisited.

Here is this week Top 10 Film :

1) The Dark Knight $155 million
2) Mamma Mia! $27.6 million
3) Hancock $14 million
4) Journey to the Center of the Earth $11.9 million
5) Hellboy II: The Golden Army $10 million
6) WALL-E $9.8 million
7) Space Chimps $7.3 million
8) Wanted $5 million
9) Get Smart $4 million
10) Kung Fu Panda $1.7 million

THE DARK KNIGHT SMASHED MIDNIGHT RECORD

Let the box-office record-breaking begin. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the highly-anticipated sequel The Dark Knight broke the midnight screening box office record, tallying an estimated $18.5 million from those sessions. The midnight shows bowed in 3,040 theaters.

The film broke the previous record held by 2005's Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, which took in $16.9 million from 2,915 theaters.

That $18.5 million record-breaking tally also does not include grosses from 3 AM and 6 AM screenings that were added in many venues to meet the whopping demand.

Hellboy tops Box Office Charts

In a surprising upset, it was Hellboy II: The Golden Army that took the top spot on this weekend's box office chart. With an opening of $35.8 million, which was $12 million better than the first film's debut weekend take, Big Red managed to best Hancock. Will Smith's superhero flick was expected to take top honors, but instead only earned $33 million in second place for its second week of release. Don't cry too hard for Peter Berg's action comedy, though. Since opening on July 1st, the film has raked in an amazing $165 million dollars. Battlefield Earth's entire box office earnings were only $20 million, so you can pretty much count Hancock a blockbuster.

This week's other two major releases didn't fare quite as well as Guillermo Del Toro's sequel. The Brendan Frazer 3D family adventure Journey to the Center of the Earth barely squeaked into third place, right above WALL-E, with a nice fall take of $20.5 million. Too bad it's summer, some people might have considered this one a hit. But it's poor Eddie Murphy that took the biggest fall. His latest comedy Meet Dave cracked at number seven with just $5.3 million, making it one of the biggest bombs of recent months. No wonder Murphy has publicly started talking about retiring. Sad thing is, I hear the film isn't half bad. Maybe it will find a second life on home video.

You will see the box office numbers of both Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Hancock fall dramatically next weekend as the biggest film of the summer hits, and it is called The Dark Knight. No one will be able to beat this bad boy for some time to come, so get ready to say hello to it for the next couple of weeks, as it will surely be residing in that top position at least until August.

Get to know Marie' Digby more

Ever wonder where former You Tube star and new singing sensation Marie Digby started her musical career.

Digby, whose mother is Japanese and father is Irish-American, is the eldest of three siblings.

Marie Digby was born on April 16, 1983 in Los Angeles, California and grew up in the Brentwood, California area.

Digby, had a normal childhood, but was always very little shy, feeling more comfortable hiding under the bleachers during high school football games than in front of any crowd. She started playing the piano in High School and began to secretly write songs, even hiding them from her family.

While a senior in high school, the timid and nervous Marie Digby signed up for a talent show. Although she was nervous to perform, she went on anyway and the audience loved it. This was to be the first of many performances that were to come.

She began University of California at Berkely in 2002 as a philosophy major. She was on the three-day schedule (she took all her classes in three days) so she would have more time to play with the new band she had formed. She was performing all over the Los Angeles area, including places such as the infamous Whiskey a Go Go and The Troubadour.

In 2004, the quiet Digby came out of obscurity into the public eye when she won the 2004 Pantene Pro-Voice competition with her song “Miss Invisible” (a song about growing up and feeling like you do not belong). The grand prize for the concert included working with a professional producer on an album, $5,000 and performing on stage with other top performers.

In 2006, the song “Fool” appears on the Disney compilation album Girl Next, which includes many of today’s Radio Disney Stars such as Hilary Duff, Aly and AJ and Hannah Montana.

This year, Digby's first official single, "Say It Again", was released to radio stations on January 18. Her debut album, Unfold, was released on April 8, 2008.

I am posting my favorite song of Marie' Digby which is entitled Stupid For You. Hope you like it much as I do.

Hancock rules Independence Day weekend

Will Smith stepped it up and reclaimed his 4th of July weekend by bringing in $66 million with the superhero epic Hancock. This is his highest grossing holiday weekend ever, as well as the third highest grossing 4th of July film of all time. Since opening on Tuesday, the Peter Berg directed Hancock has pulled in an estimated $107 million, quick kicking it into blockbuster status simply on Smith's star power alone.

Coming in at second place was the Disney/Pixar animated sci-fi comedy adventure Wall-E. The film, directed by Finding Nemo's Andrew Stanton, drew in close to $33 million during its second week of release. So far, the film has earned an estimated $128 million. Wanted, also in its second week of release, continued to amaze audiences, pulling in another $20.6 million. So far, it has earned an accumulated gross of $90.7 million, making it one of the bigger surprises of the summer so far.

Will Hancock be able to survive in the number one spot yet again next week? It's highly doubtful as word of mouth has been poor. And the fact that another highly anticipated comic book adaptation by the name of Hellboy II: The Golden Army is debuting doesn't help matters either. Also opening against it are Brendan Fraser's Journey to the Center of the Earth and Eddie Murphy in Eddie Murphy in Meet Dave (that's not a typo!). It should be a fun three-way battle, and I bet ol' Big Red comes out on top.

GHOSTBUSTERS in videogame .....

The legendary comedy team of Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Dan Aykroyd are getting back together to work on one of their best-loved vehicles: Ghostbusters. Only it's a video game.

Hoping that actor Rick Moranis will join his fellow Ghostbusters alums for the upcoming videogame version? Not gonna happen. He's too rich.

Although Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Dan Aykroyd will reunite for this year's Ghostbusters videogame, their Second City pal Moranis won't reprise his role as dork-turned-Keymaster Louis Tully. "He made so much money off of Honey I Shrunk The Kids that he retired. He just doesn’t want to work anymore," the game's producer was quoted saying.

Check out the video below.

FRIENDS on the Big Screen

Some of TV's most beloved pals might be there for you on the silver screen sooner than you think. According to Daily Mail, it seems that the wheels are in motion for a feature film based on the NBC hit series, Friends.

Inside sources for the site claim that the entire cast - Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer - will reprise their roles, "within the next 18 months." Apparently the recent box-office success of Sex and the City: The Movie inspired everyone to get on board.

"Jennifer, Courteney and the rest of the cast are keen to reprise their roles, under the right circumstances," according to their source. "Timing and the script are really important, but now that Courteney and Jen both have production companies, they can potentially get very involved in those decisions."

Warner Bros. will produce the project and it was initially believed that Aniston was hesitant about portraying Rachel again and some thought that she might be too famous to step back into the role.

"But the truth is that Jennifer is finally willing to do it, and she'd love to work with that whole team of actors and producers again," the source said. "She says she and Courteney have already talked this summer about what they want out of a Friends movie, and if deals can be made with them, everything else can fall into place rather quickly."

Now this one looks very exciting.

Brad Pitt as Mighty Thor

We all know that Marvel is preparing to make Mighty Thor jump to the Silver Screen.

If there is any other perfect to play Mighty Thor, it would have to be Brad Pitt. Just take a look at these photo of Brad Pitt from the movie Troy. He really could play Mighty Thor to perfection. He has proven that he can be buff and it would be great seeing Brad Pitt holding that axe and wearing that Red Cape.

Although he can also play Captain America, but I believe that he is more perfect with Mighty Thor.

What about you ? Do you think that he fits the bill as Mighty Thor ?

New Line had initially aimed for a summer 2009 release for the picture, but further development on the project now will likely delay that plan. No production date has been set.

ROBOTECH as a LIVE ACTION MOVIE

Due to the box office success of TRANSFORMERS, producers are now turning to Anime' to make a new movie. This time it will be ROBOTECH.

The American series drew from three unconnected Japanese series, but somehow managed to make them into a coherent storyline.

Last time we saw Hugh Grant on the big screen was in last year’s “Music and Lyrics.” While Zhang last seen at TNT the movie.

SMURFS ON THE BIG SCREEN

Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation have obtained film rights for The Smurfs, a live-action/animated project for the bigscreen.

Best known in the United States for the long-running Hanna-Barbera cartoon, the Smurfs were created in 1958 by Belgian cartoonist Pierre Culliford, known throughout the world as Peyo. The Smurfs, originally called "Les Schtroumpfs" in French, were created for a Belgian series of comic books, first as minor characters. The villagers, known for their blue skin and small statures, spawned a line of statuettes, games, toys, theme parks and a hit TV series, which ran as part of NBC's Saturday-morning lineup from 1981-90.

I used to loved it when I was a kid, this might be the right time to introduce them to the new generations.

In the late 70's BABY AMA was the first big movie of Rudy Fernandez and him a blockbuster star. From then on he made more action packed movies which resulted in blockbuster hits.

My condolonces to his family.

Seth Rogen as the Green Hornet

Sony plans to move forward with an unusual seeming superhero film starring Seth Rogen. Rogen will star in (and co-write) The Green Hornet. The star of Knocked Up is writing the script with frequent writing partner Evan Goldberg.

The Green Hornet is actually Britt Reid, a playboy who inherits his father's newspaper and then fights crime with his sidekick Kato. In an unusual move, the Hornet is considered by both the authorities and members of the underworld to be a crime boss himself, which allows Reid to pursue some crime-fighting tactics closed off to most vigilantes.

The character was created by Fran Striker and George Trendle, who also created The Lone Ranger. Originally conceived for radio, The Green Hornet has been adapted to film, television and comics.

At the present, no director has been signed for the film, nor has a casting announcement been made for Kato (though Rogen has mentioned wanting Stephen Chow for the role). What has been announced is a release date. Expect to see The Green Hornet on June 25, 2010.

Seth Rogen should lose weight in order to make it real or unless the film is a comedy, Seth should just stay as cute as himself.

Voices of The Simpsons seals Deal

The Simpsons cast has sealed a four-year deal and solidifies the animated hit's 20th season.

According to Variety, production on the show has been delayed for several months as voice actors and 20th Century Fox TV hammered out a deal. The new pact bumps the stars' salaries up to about $400,000 an episode; they previously made somewhere in the mid-$300,000 range.

The deal was firmed up over the weekend, and means most of the key cast members -- Dan Castellaneta (Homer), Julie Kavner (Marge), Nancy Cartwright (Bart), Yeardley Smith (Lisa), Hank Azaria (Moe) and Harry Shearer (Mr. Burns) -- will be back to work and attending the show's first table read of the season this morning.

As part of his deal, Castellaneta has been named consulting producer on the series. He'll now serve as a writer in addition to continuing as a voice performer.

Although the voice actors are now locked through the next four years, it doesn't necessarily mean The Simpsons will be back beyond season 20. Gracie Films' deal with 20th expires at the end of this season, and Fox hasn't renewed the show beyond this upcoming year.

Of course, we don't want The Simpsons to be off the air right, so there will still be more season to come. Yeah !!!

Remembering Sydney Pollack

Let's offer a prayer for one of the great filmmaker, Sydney Pollack who recently dies.

Best know for directing films like Out of Africa,The Firm, The Interpreter, Michael Clayton and of course my favorite among his work, Tootsie.

It's so saddening to know that Sydney Pollack died. We just saw him in the film Made of Honor recently.

He will surely be missed. Rest in peace Mr. Sydney Pollack

My thought on Kimberly Caldwell and David Cook

So American Idol winner David Cook and Kimberly Caldwell did have a date together.

Who's Kimberly Caldwell ? Some of you might ask. Well, She's also a contestant from American Idol although she was on Season 2.

She was always hugging the limelight and always craving for camera attention.

I don't think that they will match well. Kimberly may be just using David Cook's popularity to create some noise.

I think David Cook would be better with Kristy Lee Cook. What do you think ?

Kristin Kreuk as Chun Li ?

All Street Fighter fans out there, I dont know if you'll be happy or angry but their is a new movie starring Kristin Kreuk as Chun Li in Street Fighter : Legend of Chun LI.

I think she doesn't fit the role, Chun Li is supposed to be Chinese. I got two actress when it comes to playing Chun Li.

Both Zhang Zhi Yi and Shu Qi are both good in martial arts and I believe will do justice in the playing the Street Fighter sexy fighter.

Ming Na Wen was fabulous when she plays Chun LI opposite Jean Claude Van Damme in Street Fighter the Movie.

It wasn't a knockout at all for David Archuleta

Special thanks to Swirlz for correcting me on my previous post.

Last Night, We saw the two David performs and we saw some brilliant performances from the two.David Archuleta may have won Simon Cowell's heart but not all American agrees. It wasn't a knockout at all. David Cook is the underdog here and he might pull off a magical comeback.

David Cook sung three different type of songs and shows his versatility while David Archuleta almost singing all types of songs which got me tired and bored watching him especially when he sung Imagine, which he sung previously. Unlike David Cook who electrifies the crowd.

Did you know that the winner of the songwriter's choice song will be sung by the champ. We've heard and seen the two songs performed by the two David. Dream Big by David Cook and In this Moment by David Archuleta. David Archuleta's choice of song is pretty lame and very selfish at all, so that means Dream Big which is blazin hot and got some catchy tunes is the winner. And that means one thing David Cook is the newest American Idol.

It may be too early to tell, but Dream Big got some good lyrics and melody which might catapult David Cook to stardom. WIN OR LOSE. David Cook will sell a lot of record and I am one of those that will buy his record.

Before the American Idol Finale

I choose one highlight or brightest moment for each contestant, I know that tonight is the finale.

I am posting here, the two David's best performance so far myself.

David Cook with Always Be My Baby, he just simply showed to everyone why America should vote for him in this moment. Brilliant, Fresh and Great Performance, probably the standard for this year's show. It is now one of the most downloaded in ITunes.

Not to be outdone is David Archuleta with Think of Me, this used to be an Opera version but somehow he manages to make some fine arrangement and added a new twist that is just fit for today's generation.

So America, Decide for yourself. Vote !!!!Vote !!!! And the winner is David ? C or A ?

The Latest Mummy 3 trailer

This movie looks promising as Brendan Fraser reprises his role as Rick O'Connel from the previous two The Mummy movies. He faces Jet Li this time around.

Stephen Sommers begged off to direct, but another great director is handling the film. No more than Fast and the Furious director, Rob Cohen.

I've only got one question, where's Rachel Weisz ?

AMERICAN IDOL : Who's your Top 2 ?

Last night was an energetic show for American Idol, from David Archuleta to Syesha Mercado to David Cook.

Each performer tries to give their best in order to make it to the Finals. I think David Archuleta's version of With You started to bring the show to a good mood. You can see that the girls were cheering and dancing.

It was also a different David Archuleta that I saw last night, he was also dancing which he normally never do.

So my top two are the Two David, Archuleta and Cook. How about you? Who's your choice ?

Speed Racer.... Summer's first flop

It was suppose to dislodge Iron Man at the top, but Speed Racer could not contain the strength of the armor of Iron Man.

As reported previously, Speed Racer have a weak opening box office. The movie which stars Emile Hirsch,Christina Ricci and Matthew Fox.

Speed Racer was the first casualty of Summer flops, expect other film to follow. Managing only $ 18 Million plus in its first three days of released, while Iron Man continues to hold its top spot and it total gross amounting to $ 177 Million plus which is expected to gross somewhere $ 250M-$ 300 M.

What Happens in Vegas showed some surprise as it places second and ahead of Speed Racer with a weekend box office gross of $ 20 M.

This week Prince Caspian will try to dislodge Iron Man at the top.

Speed Racer may not catch up with Iron Man

Speed Racer, the anime adaptation by the Wachowski Brothers, may not topple Iron Man at the Box Office.

Speed Racer is slowing down at the box office and as of this writing, Iron Man is still blazing his way to the top.

What Happens in Vegas may even have a better chance of placing ahead Speed Racer.

In my opinion Speed Racer's visual is kinda corny and you can clearly see that it's all CGI. It's CGI are not that highly impressive, that maybe the reason it is lagging at the box office.

Stay tune tomorrow, for the Box Office results.

Bad News for Natalie Portman fans

Natalie Portman has just dropped out from the new film version of Charlotte Bronte classic, Wuthering Heights.

It was cited that conflict of schedule was the main reason for the drop out.

This gal has been considering to move on with her first directorial debut sometime in the near future.

Too bad, Natalie is such a versatile actress, and I personally believe that she can do justice for the role.

No replacement has been reported yet as to who will replace her.

When David Archuleta was younger

Didn't know that David Archuleta had already joined a National singing contest when he was young.
Just to prove that I am right I am posting this video to show just how talented and experienced this young man was.

No wonder, he seems to have no stage fright except of course at the start of Top 12 where he committed a blunder.

He seems tested, experienced and more mature now.

I think that this David Archuleta is a tough one to beat, no wonder America loves him, they loved him before when he was young.

Not so Glam Celebrities

Anne Curtis to catch up with Marian Rivera

Anne Curtis will also play a mermaid in her upcoming TV series, Dyosa. ABS CBN is gearing up for a fight with Dyesebel, which is currently dominating the Primetime TV ratings.

Marian Rivera showed that she is a beautiful mermaid and that her costume is well made. Beautiful beaches and scenery is also the main attraction for Dyesebel that's why it is ruling the Primetime.

Will Anne Curtis catch up or will she drown ? Oh I forgot mermaids never drown, maybe the right word is sink at the bottom of the sea.

She'll also play a centaur and a eagle in this fantasy TV series.

Jason Castro's in trouble

What's going on with the Idols these season, I think 1/4 of the Top 12 American Idols forgot the lyrics during their performance.

First was David Archuleta singing We Can Work It Out in the Beatles week.

Then Brooke White in the Andrew Lloyd Webber week.

Now, Jason Castro these week. He just hums up the song with almost 15 seconds that goneby. He had the worst performance and I think Simon is right, He should pack his suitcase.

PRE-AMERICAN IDOL JASON CASTRO

Ever wonder how Jason Castro looks like before his dreadlock hairstyle ?

Well , luckily for you I am posting his photo before his American Idol days.

What can you say ? He still looks cute ,right ?

Michael Rosenbaum leaves Smallville

Michael Rosenbaum, the actor who plays Lex Luthor in the TV hit series Smallville, will leave the show.

Michael has always been with the show since the start, and it's very saddening to know that he will now will leave the show. The show gave him worlwide popularity and Smallville is the one that gave him his biggest break.

In anticipation for Michael's departure, Smallvile will be adding two new villains for the eight season, Doomsday and a female antagonist.

Comic book fans do remember that Doomsday is the only who have killed Superman. Now this looks exciting.

Goodbye Michael !!!
